B-4 Implementation of 3-MANET
Mobile Ad-hoc Network
We have already implemented the landmark routing protocol with the weighted distributed hash table in multiple laptops.  In this project, we will implement it in Gumstix.

Mobile Ad Hoc Networks, Robot Motion Planning
We consider a team of autonomous mobile robots, which are exploring an unknown environment. These robots maintain a wireless communication network in order to exchange mapping data. ...

M-2
File Area Networks over the Internet
Storage Area Networks
In the future you will only access your date from distributed hard disks in the Internet without any central control. Within this master thesis we will continue the development of such system which can live with unaccessible computers. Christian Schindelhauer Arne Vater
M-3
Simulation of 3-MANET
Mobile Ad-hoc Networks
We are developing a new landmark and distributed hash table based Mobile Ad-Hoc Network. The goal is to evaluate the quality of this new approach using empirical simulation.

Implementation of Energy saving algorithm on Wireless sensor nodes
Wireless sensor networks, TinyOS
A wireless sensor network life can be increased by making redundant nodes sleep. Algorithms like SPAN and CCP try to find set of nodes that can be put to sleep while keeping the network remain functional. We have suggested many improvements on these algorithms and wish to implement them on real sensors such as MICA-2, ESB and ECR. Faisal Aslam

M-5  Topology Control for Peer-to-Peer-Networks  Peer-to-Peer-Networks Given a Peer-to-Peer-Network with Peers with unknown locations in a metric space the task is to find and test simple local distributed algorithms that maintain connection graphs with small degree and small stretch factors. Delay-tolerant Routing in Wireless Networks
Mobile Ad Hoc Networks Mobility in wireless networks can be helpful or harmful. However, it is a challenge to deal with mobility and changing links, temporary network interruption etc. If there is some knowledge about future movement, then it can help in delivering messages. Various techniques have been proposed under the term "delay-tolerant networking" and we wish to investigate their performance in wireless networks.
