Contents

We present basic techniques for modelling and design of distributed systems in the application domain of energy systems and  apply these techniques on basic examples. We look at the underlying principles of tools for modeling. The lecture consists of three parts and discusses the following topics:

  1. Networks
    1. Smart grid
    2. Topologies
    3. Technologies
  2. Distributed systems
    1. Terminologies, concepts and problems
    2. Modeling techniques
    3. Game Theory
  3. System design
    1. Data modeling
    2. Behavioral modeling
    3. Interfaces
  4. Security
    1. Information flow control
    2. Access control
